VOLUNTEER

The NRL is always in need of volunteers for our national and regional competitions, so if you want to come and see some sparks ignite fill out the form for the specific competition below.

Welcome. In order to maximize student safety, we are now requiring that all volunteers complete a background check. Below, you will find a list of upcoming competitions. To order your background check, just find the competition where you will serve as a volunteer and click the link that says “Background Check: Click Here.”

You will be directed to a screen where you will enter some information so that our third-party screening partner, SafestHires, can process your background check.

The cost for the background check is $8.00. The NRL will cover this expense but if you wish to help us defray the cost, click this link and you will be taken to an online donation form.

Before you order your background check, please click this link to read and print the Fair Credit Reporting Act Summary of Rights.

When entering the information for your background check, please provide all requested information in the fields highlighted in RED and make sure to double-check your data entry to ensure correct spelling and correct numerical sequences. Failure to do this will delay your background check.

As part of this process, you will be required to provide electronic consent for this background check. Your consent will include authorizing SafestHires to email a copy of the completed background check to us for review. All information will be treated with strict confidentiality, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

If you receive a Notice of Adverse Action from us, which would include a copy of your completed report, and if any information in your report is inaccurate or incomplete, you should notify us immediately and then initiate a dispute with the Consumer Reporting Agency listed below as soon as possible so an employment decision may be completed.
